Dean Rojas became a part of the SPRO team in 2005, on the heels of the 2004 Bassmasters Classic, where the hollow body frog was introduced to the world. Since that time, we have designed a total of seven hollow body frog designs, beginning with Dean’s design of the original Bronzeye 65, and leading up to our latest addition: the Spittin' Shad. The Bronzeye 65 stands out because of its versatility and high hook-up ratio and has become the go-to frog for any fisherman who wants the best in top-water fishing.

Growing up in San Diego, and now living in Arizona, Dean began his career as a professional bass angler in 1997 fishing the Bassmaster Western Invitational Events, which allowed him to qualify in his first year for the Bassmaster Top 150 Events (now the Elite Series). As a full time, professional, Dean has qualified for fifteen Bassmaster Classics, and continues to hold the one-day BASS record for the largest five bass limit at 45 lb. 2 oz.
